Summery The Label creates timeless, modern designs inspired by the natural world and the freedom of travel. We bring you wardrobe essentials in simple, comfortable yet chic silhouettes, all made from luxurious, medium-weight linen. All of our garments are designed to be trans-seasonal, and able to take you from day to night and be styled in multiple ways. Each piece is ethically-made and consciously designed with lower impact fabrics.
We are not at 100% zero waste yet but strive to have minimal wastage in the production of our garments. All collections are made slowly and in small quantities to minimise wastage.
Being Eco conscious is something we are very serious about. We are conscious about our impact on the environment, therefore we create small, slow , considered collections that can be worn for many years to come. Our garments are predominately made from linen. Linen is still one of the least environmentally damaging textiles around. Every part of our designing, manufacturing and delivery process is considered and ways we can reduce our impact on the environment is explored. Our garment tags and hangtags along with all our packaging is eco conscious. Hangtags are made from FSC certified paper, printed with soy- based non toxic inks are 100% compostable and recycled, all other packaging items are either recycled, compostable or both.
Our manufacturing partner works with Ecology to offset the workforces’s carbon footprint by contributing to sustainability projects that are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals . In addition when shipping parcels we use DHL and and choose to offset our delivery carbon emissions. We are looking at ways we can be more environmentally conscious when shipping locally.
The seamstress are the real drivers of our brand. Our manufacturing partner pays above minimum wage. In addition to pay other monitored standards also include standard working hours, paid overtime, strict anti discrimination polices and no child labour practices. These standards are monitored by the respective governments in each country we work within around Asia.
Our hiring criterias focuses on skills and aptitude. Our manufacture partner ensures across their network that a fair working conditions are adhered to and have procedures in place to ensure these values are upheld.
Our products do not harm animals in the making of our clothes.
